Ciao a tutti,
Notare

Il Pc non usa Windows? Va denunciato
In cambio Redmond offrir=E0 premi e gadget
"Rivenditori, denunciate chi vuole un sistema senza Windows", =E8 l'origina=
le=20
trovata della Microsoft. Ogni segnalazione effettuata da parte dei=20
rivenditori Pc, sar=E0 inizialmente "ripagata" con punti, convertibili=20
successivamente in premi e gadget firmati Microsoft.
=20
a qualsiasi utente di scegliere in piena libert=E0 quale sistema operativo=
=20
installare sulla propria macchina. Oltre all'Os della Microsoft, infatti,=20
ne esistono altri, spesso pi=F9 stabili e soprattutto totalmente gratuiti,=
=20
eb=20
sistema operativo Windows vi sarebbero punti "fedelt=E0" convertibili in=20
premi.

=20
Well, put yourself in the position of the=20=
=20=20=20=20
OEM. "If you allow your customers to buy=20=

=20=20=20
made the last bits up) That "at risk of=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20

=20=20=20=20
nicely weasel turn of phrase which is put in=

=20=20=20=20=20
sounds a bit like Microsoft is categorising=
=20=20=20
customers as a bunch of unprincipled=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
tea-leafs, doesn't it? Which is presumably=20=
=20=20=20
why we cut that bit.=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20
Another bit of before and after reinforces=20=
=20=20=20
this. In version one it says: "Warn=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
customers that acquiring the PC 'naked' and=
=20=20=20
subsequently pirating the software is never=
=20=20=20
a good option. Explain the risks: technical=
=20=20=20
troubles, upgrade problems, viruses and the=
=20=20=20
law. Politely decline to expose your buyers=
=20=20=20
or their businesses to such troubles."=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
Whereas in version 2 this has been toned=20=
=20=20=20=20=20
down to: "Warn customers that acquiring the=
=20=20=20
PC 'naked' exposes them to the possibility=20=
=20=20=20
of unwittingly purchasing pirated software.=
=20=20=20
Explain the risks: technical troubles,=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
upgrade problems, viruses and the law.=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
Politely decline to expose your buyers or=20=
=20=20=20=20
their businesses to such troubles."=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20
So don't you go calling your customers=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
pirates, right? They're innocent victims=20=
=20=20=20=20=20
who've unwittingly exposed themselves, whew,=
=20=20
sorted. But we especially like the way=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
Microsoft is asking its OEMs to "politely=20=
=20=20=20=20
decline" to sell PCs without Windows on=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20
them. It's only a short hop from there to=20=
=20=20=20=20
categorising OEMs who will sell naked PCs as=
=20=20
irresponsible crooks hell-bent on wrecking=20=
=20=20=20
their customers' lives.=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=

=20
There are of course benefits for customers=20=
=20=20=20
in buying PCs with preinstalled operating=20=
=20=20=20=20
systems and - hilariously - Microsoft=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
inadvertently seems to be encouraging OEMs=20=
=20=20=20
to ship an operating system other than=20=20=
=20=20=20=20=20=20
Windows here. "Customers have the original=20=
=20=20=20
CD so they can reload the software. They=20=
=20=20=20=20=20
also have a manual for everyday=20=20=20=20=
